This is my project car. Most of the work on it will be subcontracted to professionals, but I'll coordinate it, and do what minor work I can handle on my own. This is a 1969 Cutlass 'S' Convertible. 'S' was a trim package on the car. A standard Cutlass was an 'F85. It's not the more collectable '442', but I really like the way this car looks. It's not quite as aggressive as the 442. This will be a really nice cruiser. It's a 350 small block with automatic transmission, factory air and a power convertible top.
I will not go out of my way to keep this car historically correct. I already have the museum piece in the GTO. This car is already scheduled for refinements such as a modern disk brake conversion and heavy duty coils and shocks. I will keep the 350 small block, but have it rebuilt, and add elctronic ingition, upgraded carburetion, headers, 3-in dual exhaust, etc... I'll bring it up in the neighborhood of 325-350HP. Ocean highway here we come. Estimated completion - May 2006.
